Bruce Fry

Bruce Lloyd Fry passed away on Saturday morning, October 3, 2026 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre in Saginaw at the age of 87. Bruce is the son of the late Kenneth and Geneva (Deveraux) Fry. He was born on December 28, 1938 in Ithaca, Michigan. Bruce attended and graduated from Alma High School. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959, Bruce then moved to Saginaw with his parents. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Foerster on April 8, 1961 and together, they celebrated 65 years, she survives him. Bruce retired from the United States Postal Service in 1996 as a manager of the Saginaw garage. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and had served on several boards.

He enjoyed camping and traveling visiting many of the states. Getting up early every morning to spend time with his coffee buddies was a must. Bruce also loved to play cards, was quick-witted and always had a story or joke to tell.

Surviving are four sons and their spouses: Greg and Tami, Dean and Cindy, Neil, and Eric and Meriam; six grandchildren: Ashley (Chris) Binno, Katie (David) Adams, Matthew Fry, Renea Fry, Eryka and Nathan Fry; five step-grandchildren: Lauren, Ben (Mandy), Josh and Sarah Seago and Jeremie Acosta (Damion Rodrigous); three great-grandchildren; and nieces, Lynett (Duane) Jack and Shelly Baker.

Besides his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by a sister, Quna Baker and a nephew, Donald Baker.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8795 Ederer Road, Saginaw, MI 48609 on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8795 Ederer Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Pastor Joshua Becker will officiate. A Committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy.
