Obituary

Passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday evening, October 18, 2026, at his residence in Saginaw. He was 86 years old. Barry Wayne Rousseau was born on October 18, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Harold and Helen (Pollen) Rousseau. He was employed by Eaton Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Barry was also a longtime member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Barry was a hardworking and self-reliant man who took pride in providing for and protecting his family. He could often be found tinkering around the house, building houses, or finding a project to keep him busy. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping with his family, fishing, and spending time in his beloved red Jeep. He also enjoyed coaching Little League and traveling to Las Vegas, as well as making trips to California to visit his brother.

Above all, Barry treasured his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. Some of their fondest memories were made at his cabin on Lake Margrethe, where Barry loved pulling them on a sled, taking rides on four-wheelers and go-karts, and simply enjoying time together.

Barry will be remembered as a dependable man, deeply patriotic and devoted to those he loved. He was a steadfast protector of his children and grandchildren, always willing to make sacrifices for their well-being and happiness. His family is grateful for the many ways he cared for them throughout his life.

Surviving are his children, Jeffrey (Carla) Rousseau, Kathleen (Mike) Pratt, and Julie Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley Baynham, Erik (Allison) Federspiel, Joshua (Heather) Federspiel, Michele (Nathan) Brittain, Megan (Jacob) Sletten, and Melissa (Lukas) Smillie; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lynn Pascoe, Laura Schmidt, Nancy Benton, and Michael Rousseau; second wife, Debra Silk and her daughter, Kindra Krieslers, and many nieces and nephews.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Rousseau; former wife and mother of his children, Judith Morzinski.
