Obituary

Juan Saucedo Jr., of Saginaw, Michigan peacefully gained his wings on Tuesday morning, October 20, 2026 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth under the care of Compassus Hospice. He was 50 years old. Juan was born on June 25, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan to Juan Saucedo Sr. and the late Maria G. Castanon.

Juan graduated from Buena Vista High School with the Class of 1995, proudly living by the motto, “B.V. for Life!” Having grown up around the bowling alley, Juan developed a lifelong love of bowling and became an avid bowler at Americana Lanes and Candlelite Bowling, where he competed in several tournaments. He was also a sharp dresser who took pride in looking his best, especially when it came to dressing up and wearing a nice pair of shoes.

Juan enjoyed taking trips to the casino and attending sporting events in Detroit. In more recent years, he found enjoyment in playing golf and football on his PlayStation, and his family could often hear him hollering from his room when a game didn’t go his way. He also enjoyed trying his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets.

Above all, Juan cherished time spent with his family. He especially loved when his grandchildren and his great-great nieces and nephews came to town, happily allowing them to take over his room during their visits. He also treasured family cookouts in his backyard on Ribble Street and gatherings with his Chacon family on Lapeer Street. Before becoming ill, Juan could often be found there at noon, again at 3:00 p.m., and every Sunday at 2:00 p.m., routines that reflected the special place family held in his heart and the joy he found in simply being together.

Surviving is his father, Juan Saucedo Sr., two sisters, Tracy Gillam and Rebecca (John) Kennedy; nephews, Antonio (Dee) Saucedo and Marcos (Kristine) Saucedo; niece, Jessica Mirelez; Goddaughter, Angelina Jackson; a nephew that he loved and shared a special bond with, Jose Mirelez; three brothers from another mother as he would affectionately refer to them, Joseph Vasquez Jr., Victor St. Charles, and Josh Hernandez, along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews; his children, Juan Saucedo III, Alize Saucedo, Aynia Saucedo, and Anthony Saucedo; grandchildren, Priscilla, King, Zaire, and Riley; a host of friends, too many to name; his God sister, Lydia Cortez who showered him with unconditional love; his best friend, Nina Gomez; and his uncle Mario “Pop”.

Juan was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maria G. Saucedo in 2019.
