Soto, Arthur T. "Art" Saginaw, Michigan In loving memory of our father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home. He was 60 years old. Arthur Thomas Soto was born on May 26, 1955 in Sendai, Japan to Tai (Sugana) and the late Albert J. Soto. Art worked for Dow Chemical for 18 years and he then worked as a landscaper. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Art loved life, enjoyed golfing and was the man with the uncanny ability to make complete strangers feel like close friends. His wild and fun spirit will be deeply missed by his daughter, Hannah Soto; mother, Tai Soto; siblings: Richard (Rosa) Velasquez, Maria Soto, Alex (Michelle) Soto, Cathy (Dan) Dennin; nieces and nephews: Natalia, Crystal, Adam, Anthony, Meagan, Victoria, Joey, Adam, Jacob, Axel and Allie. Art was preceded in death by his father, Albert J. Soto. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate. According to Art's wishes cremation will follow the service. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m and the family and friends will also share memories during that time on Wednesday evening. Art will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
