Jerry Burns was the hallmark of a gentleman and a talented lawyer. I was honored to have him as a friend and a colleague. Rest in peace. Bob Donoghue, Midland, Michigan.

Jerry Burns was of course a dear brother-in-law to my own brother and his wife, Jim and Sandra Dorward, of Savannah Georgia. (prev. Saginaw Mi.) Since I have always lived in Canada, I did not have the opportunity to get to know Jerry very well. However, I will always remember Jerry for his kindness to me during my infrequent visits, and especially for "being there", following our own fathers death in 1966, in Toronto. I hope my memory is not faulty, but i beleive Jerry drove streaightaway to Toronto as soon as he heard our sad news. He will be sorely missed by many, I am sure. Jerry was a very special person and I will miss him. II'm so glad I was able to visit him briefly at the Cartright Center and to meet some of his darling grandchildren. My love and condolences to all of you. Love, Rosalie Riegle
