SPECHT, Kay Anne of Longboat Key, Florida, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 74 years of age. Kay Anne Spousta was born on November 2, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank J. and Anne Zednick Spousta. She was married to Kenneth Specht on October 18, 1958 in Saginaw. He survives her. Kay graduated from Arthur Hill High School in the Class of 1956. She later attended Hurly Hospital in Flint where she received her nursing degree. Through the years she was employed as an Industrial Nurse. Kay is a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saginaw. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Surviving are her husband; Ken of Longboat Key, FL, a brother; Allen (Pat) Spousta of Fredericksburg, TX, four children and seven grandchildren; son; Kenny (Kelly) Specht and their children Kara and Kyle of Atlanta, GA, son; Kurt Specht of Dallas, TX, daughter; Kerry (Wendell) Waldroup and their children; Kendall and Kayden, of Rockford, MI and daughter; Kelly (Manfred) Hoffman and their children; Jordyn, Connor and Cameron of Indianapolis, IN. FUNERAL- Kay's Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Sue Hand will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION- Friends are welcome to visit with Kay's family at the funeral home on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS- In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, 1209 Hancock St., Saginaw, MI 48602. We have such fond memories of Mom Specht! Growing up was made so special with her. So glad to have her in my heart as my 2nd mom. She knew who to call if she needed that fridge cleaned out! I won't forget how classy, special and loving she was to all of the "girls" when we were growing up at the Specht house. She deserved a medal for putting up with all of us! We will miss her dearly. It was a privilege to see her in April with my kids and laugh (and cry) over our old stories and memories. You all have our sympathies and remember the special angel watching over you! Our prayers are with you.

To our second family....as my sister said, it was a true pleasure growing up with Mom Specht. She truly was a second Mom to us and we were blessed to be in her life. We have so many fond memories of being at your house in Grandville. And of course with our twin best friends! My deepest sympathy goes out to you guys, but what a blessing to know she is done with her struggles and can be free in heaven. You can take comfort in that joy. She was such a wonderful lady, you can be so proud she was your Mom and Wife. Our prayers are with you - love you guys.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful and amazing photos. I always felt that Mom Specht was a very classy lady. She had a heart of gold and Ken was her rock! She will be missed by many but, knowing that we will see her again in heaven one day is a great comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love The Galle Family
