Delores McLellan

Delores Ann McLellan passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Toni & Trish House with her family at her side. Delores (Dee) was born on August 3rd, 1925, in Saginaw to Norman and Mary Catherine (Weiland) Morrison, and celebrated her 100th birthday last fall. She had three siblings, Michael Morrison, Pauline Carl, and Harold (Butch) Morrison. Just before her first birthday, her mother passed away and she went to live with Donald and Minnie McCormick in St. Charles, where she gained six additional siblings, Mary Smith, Joseph McCormick, Kate McCormick, Mae Quellette, Catherine Smith, and Nora Paul. Dee went on to graduate from Hemlock High School in 1944. She married the love of her life Robert (Bob) McLellan on June 15th, 1946, and they were married for 68 years before his passing in 2013.

For most of her adult life, Dee was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where she volunteered her time at countless funeral luncheons. She worked as a teller at the Local 455 Amalgamated Credit Union for several years with Bob (husband), before retiring in 1986. Dee was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, especially enjoyed attending and supporting the sporting and artistic events of her children and grandchildren, and loved long summer vacations with her family at the “Farm”.

Surviving Dee are four children, James McLellan of White Bear Lake, MN, Mary Walraven (Larry), and Christina McLellan of Saginaw, and Daniel McLellan (Risha) of Fort Wayne, IN, one daughter-in-law Kathleen McLellan of Clio, fifteen grandchildren, Jim Spradlin (Linda), Anne Marie Midcalf, Heather Lundberg (Steve), Matt McLellan (Melissa), William McLellan, Katie McLellan, Brittany Garcia (Jamie), Emily Smith, Jacqueline Smith, Cordelia McClintock (Cale), Chandler McLellan (Sarah), Kristen Globell (Joachim), Lawrence Walraven, Melinda Merak (Joe), and William Walraven, and 27 very precious great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, husband, son Robert H. McLellan (Saginaw) daughter Patricia Smith (Minden, LA), grandsons Michael Spradlin, Robert H. McLellan Jr., and son-in-law Jackie Smith.

The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to Beverly, Dee’s caregiver and dear friend at Swan Haven, the nurses and staff at Covenant Harrison (2-South), and the wonderful volunteers at Toni & Trish House in Auburn, MI.

In-lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Toni & Trish House, East Side Soup Kitchen of Saginaw, and St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 4:00p.m. until 7:00p.m., with a vigil service held at 7:00p.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI 48603.

Visitation will continue Friday, June 19, 2026 from 10:00a.m., until the time of mass of 11:00a.m., at St. Stephen Catholic Church Site of St. Dominic Catholic Parish, 1310 Malzahn Street, Saginaw MI, 48602. Rev. Fr. Richard John and Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
